Alexandre Arnault has joined Nike’s board of directors, adding the LVMH executive to the sportswear company’s 12-member governing body. Fortune reported the appointment as Nike looks for a new angle on its brand and growth challenge, and Expansión’s Financial Times report identifies Arnault as deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy.\n\nArnault, 34, brings a luxury-sector operating background to a board chaired by executive chairman Mark Parker and led day to day by CEO Elliott Hill. His role at Moët Hennessy, which he has held since 2025, sits inside the wider Arnault family operating presence at LVMH.\n\nA board seat with a brand brief\n\nThe appointment arrives as Nike works through slower sales, pressure on older product franchises and the consequences of an earlier direct-to-consumer push. Parker said Arnault had built a reputation for helping iconic global brands evolve, innovate and grow in a complex market.\n\nThe move is a board change rather than an operating-company succession, but it belongs to the same governance conversation as Richemont’s decision to move Anton Rupert into a succession path.
