Amper appointed Belén López Yeste as an independent director on October 27, replacing Jesús Esmorís, according to Europa Press and Bolsamanía. The board approved her appointment by co-option, and the designation remains subject to ratification at the next general shareholders’ meeting.
Esmorís’s resignation took effect the same day. He said personal reasons and new professional projects made his continued availability incompatible with board service. López Yeste also joined Amper’s Audit and Control Committee and Sustainability Committee, filling seats left by other directors.
The appointment adds a board change to a week of leadership handoffs. Yesterday, Grupo Alvic named Belén Frau as board chair, another Spanish company move that shifted governance responsibility to a new leader. For Amper, the next formal checkpoint is shareholder ratification.
