CVC names Todd Sisitsky and Peter Rutland as future co-CEOs

Todd Sisitsky and Peter Rutland will become co-chief executive officers of CVC Capital Partners by the first quarter of 2028, the private-equity firm said as it laid out the next phase of its leadership succession. Sisitsky will join from TPG, where he has been president since 2021; Rutland is CVC’s president and a managing partner.\n\nThe handover will move Rob Lucas out of the CEO role after leading CVC since June 2021, while keeping him involved at group level and in investment activities. Lucas guided the firm through its April 2024 listing on Euronext Amsterdam, giving the transition a clear institutional marker rather than the feel of an abrupt change.\n\nA complementary pairing\n\nCVC’s announcement gives the two incoming leaders distinct briefs. Rutland has led the firm’s financial-services sector team and held responsibility for its Credit & Insurance, Secondaries and Infrastructure strategies. Sisitsky brings more than two decades at TPG, including oversight of several private-equity strategies and a central role in the firm’s organic and inorganic growth.
