Christophe Bavière became Eurazeo’s sole Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO with immediate effect on 26 October, before the current mandates expire on 5 February 2027. The company’s announcement sets out the decision and the board’s rationale; Les Echos independently reported the immediate appointment.
The change concentrates leadership of Eurazeo’s Executive Board in one person now, but it does not yet settle the full composition of the next board. The company says its Supervisory Board will determine that composition when the current mandates expire. For now, the title and authority are clear, while a broader governance decision remains scheduled for February.
Eurazeo framed the appointment against a platform that has changed substantially over four years. The company says assets under management from third parties grew 30% and now account for close to 80% of group assets; fundraising is 70% international; and the fee-related earnings margin rose from 30.7% in 2022 to 36% in 2025. Those are company-reported figures, but they explain the business context the board chose to emphasize: a market undergoing profound change and a push to keep gaining share.
Jean-Charles Decaux, chairman of the Supervisory Board, said Eurazeo now needs to accelerate and prepare a new governance organization for its next stage. The board also credited the current Executive Board’s work since 2023, with particular recognition for William Kadouch-Chassaing. Its statement says the next Executive Board will be chaired by Bavière, but that the other members will be determined at the end of the current mandates.
That timing is worth separating. Bavière’s appointment is effective immediately; the wider composition of the Executive Board is not being finalized until February 2027. The timing differs from AIA’s regional CEO handoff scheduled for 2 November: Eurazeo is changing executive governance now, while AIA’s story centers on a dated operational succession. For investors and employees, the next company-confirmed milestone is the board’s decision on the future Executive Board as the current mandates expire.
The governance route is explicit: Eurazeo’s Compensation, Appointment and Governance Committee recommended the change, and the Supervisory Board made the appointment. That clarifies how Bavière’s authority begins immediately, even as the wider team remains a separate board decision for February. The company announcement sets out both steps.
