Stacy Taffet joins Kohl’s board as an independent director

Kohl’s appointed Stacy Taffet, Hershey’s chief growth and marketing officer, as an independent director on October 29, according to the company’s announcement and Reuters’ coverage.

Taffet has led growth and marketing at Hershey since April 2025. She brings more than 20 years in consumer goods and marketing, including 15 years at PepsiCo, where her last role was senior vice president of beverage portfolio strategy and marketing. She began her career at American Express.

Her Kohl’s term runs through the 2027 annual shareholders’ meeting, where she is expected to stand for election. She will initially serve on the audit committee. Her appointment brings the board to nine directors, eight of them independent, and is part of the company’s stated board-refreshment process.

The appointment adds a director with experience across several consumer brands to a retailer working through its own transformation. Kohl’s board chair Wendy Arlin described Taffet’s background in growth, innovation and customer-centered strategy as relevant to the company’s work with its leadership team. For another recent independent-director appointment, see Belén López Yeste’s arrival at Amper.
