Nu Mexico appoints Martín Masola as chief financial officer

Martín Masola has been appointed chief financial officer of Nu Mexico, moving from Revolut to lead finance at Nubank’s Mexican subsidiary. Nu’s newsroom announced the appointment on September 25, and Finance News independently reported the same transition.

Masola succeeds Fernando Campos and will lead capital and liquidity planning, financial reporting, corporate development and tax. He previously built Revolut’s local finance function and participated in the application for a banking licence; before that, he was senior vice president of finance for Latin America and CFO of Mexico at Kavak.

Finance leadership for a larger Mexican platform

The appointment lands as Nu Mexico works through a larger institutional shift. The company says its Mexican business began operating as a multiple-banking institution in August 2026 and reached break-even in the first quarter. Masola’s brief is therefore broader than keeping the books: it spans the financial architecture needed for a regulated business that is still expanding.

Nu did not provide a start date beyond the announcement, and Campos is moving on to new professional opportunities. The useful read is the role’s breadth. The new CFO will connect treasury, capital, reporting and tax with the next phase of the local franchise, a finance-to-platform transition that echoes Keir Barnes’s CFO appointment at ASX, where the finance seat also sat inside a wider renewal.
