Aldo Uva has joined Natuzzi’s board and is expected to become Chief Executive Officer of the Natuzzi Group in the first half of October. Natuzzi’s announcement says shareholders approved the board seat on September 11, while La Conceria places the move in the furniture group’s wider turnaround.\n\nUva previously led Natuzzi from May 2008 to March 2009 and most recently served as executive chairman and CEO of Incredo. He will spend the remainder of September working with Natuzzi’s management team before formally taking the CEO role, an arrangement designed to make the handover orderly.\n\nA turnaround brief built around execution\n\nThe mandate is unusually explicit: simplify the business, make operations more efficient, reshape the cost structure and redirect resources toward targeted investments in growth and innovation. Natuzzi also wants the incoming CEO to improve profitability, cash generation and resource allocation while rebuilding competitiveness.\n\nThe return of a former chief places experience back inside a transformation story, much as Munters brought forward Stefan Aspman’s CEO transition when timing became part of the operating plan.
